The worlds 51 best/tallest skylines in the world 2008.
Rankings taken from http://homepages.ipact.nl/~egram/skylines.html
*However* I tried to update the list myself so it's not identical.

*************************************************** Sound removed due to copyright claims******************************************************

Explaining the ranking system:

The value of each building in a city is calculated by x-90, x beeing the hight in metres.
Observation towers and such are only counted with half their hight (example: CN Tower).

I highly recomend downloading the high quality version http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=rwpqqqggbgf

Special credit to Egbert Gramsbergen, the original creator of the skyline ranking list.

  • Boston was the Worst city.

  • nice vid!

  • China skylines are just residential buildings

  • @maestroadam excuse me?

  • @rippen100 CHICAGO HAS (sorry my caps lock was on) one of the nicest skylines in my opinion

  • @fireworks2dead you missed europe

  • @arareflux true, you mean asia, middle-east, south america and northern america

  • @cheesemaster1000 they are low to mid rise office buildings if they are under 800 feet. Believe me, I have an architect friend. And having offices inside and people working there is what makes it a skyscraper.

  • @xcited4vids No, the definition doesn't give a specific height and it certainly isn't as high as 800 feet! By your standards there is only 1 skyscraper in London, whereas in fact there are 9.

Also it doesn't have to include office workers, the Burj al Arab is over 1000ft tall and doesn't have an office worker anywhere on site, yet is called a skyscraper.
