In the pilot episode, Federation outposts and ships are being attacked by a race that are referred to as 'the Monap" (but are plainly the borg). The Enterprise, sent to investigate the attacks, encounters another being who drives the intruder away but remains a mystery herself.

I really liked the way that they tied it into the movies! That really worked for me until the last scene where Kirk dies. Wouldn't that violate cannon in as much as he would at this time know that he would NOT die all alone? Just wondering. Other than that, I so far really like this take on the series. These guys are good! ST-XII anyone?

This makes 'Spocks Brain' look like a masterpiece. LOL - i will admit i cant stop watching though. stunning frames, cam angles and sets like the real thing - impressive.

I like the use of the original music, but it is being overused. TOS featured periods of time with no music - only dialogue. The music was often used only for transitions between scenes. The music on any one episode was part of a consistent theme instead of a sampling of the entire Star Trek music library.

The Starship Exeter fan series included ( along with an equally perfect bridge and transporter room ) full size corridors. Here they must have had to build the corridors in a tight space. Somebody's apartment I guess. Things like that kind of stand out along with the amateurish acting. But it's better than nothing.

I think this a well done show. Some of the acting needs to be tweeked a bit but I've seen worse.
