The Lawless Roads Sneak Preview

THE LAWLESS ROADS is the true and untold story of the ambush and capture of the only American Prisoner of War still held in captivity - Staff Sergeant Matt Maupin. A platoon of reservists get caught up in the worst ambush in the history of the war. The Shiite Insurgents (The Mahdi Army) set up a five mile kill zone. Of the 43 men that went out that day 17 came back killed or wounded. Two men were captured and six died. Of the two that were captured Thomas Hamill the truck driver escaped. Matt Maupin is still in captivity.

@nathangh8 You left these men to die. Brown and the Company Commander and the Battalion has PLENTY of opportunities and EVIDENCE to refuse this mission. They went ahead with it anyway. The Air Force declined, but Brown and others went forward.

Oh, by the way, Walsh did not lay in Ambush and kill Goodrich and Krause. All Walsh was trying to was to save himself and protect his KBR driver. The Army's own investigation bears this out.

It is hard to justify some of the anger seen in most of the comments and I am sure someone will think themselves witty enough to dispell my comment. I have deployed 4 times and have not seen the viollence in my latest three that I saw in OIF 2. To the men and women who served beside me, I thank you for your service and sacrifice. To the men and women who paid the ultimate price, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. To those who served honorably and chose civilian life, Thanks as well

@OBparamour The facts are Private Walsh defended the convoy and was wounded. Many times the command of this unit had plenty of intell that would have discouraged this route. Prior to entering the 5 mile ambush the Mahdi set up, troops from the 1st Cavalry waved their arms to block their entrance. Wars are fought by imperfect people. People make mistakes but don't dishonor Private Walsh's war record bc on the day it counted, he did his job. Can his "buddies" say the same? Can you?

@lordtiberius mrbrown54 is NOT a LT. The LT was unconscious during the ENTIRE ambush, after his head wound. He wasn't giving any orders! You have several people that have posted comments on your video who WERE there! I'm inclined to believe those who experienced the ambush, firsthand.
