It's the 154th release on Jetlag and it's another great track taken from Shane's exceptional 'Departure' album which was released in October of 2010. 'Flux' comes with new remixes from some of the coolest names around at the moment: Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic, Retroid and Nick Hogendoorn. Shane's original mix sounds as fresh as ever with it's funky, club friendly bassline and quirky electronics. The hypnotic pads and bubbly synths have a great quality to them which should sound spectacular on a proper soundsystem.
Morphosis Recordings front man Retroid is first up on the remixes and he's dropped his rock solid breakbeats once again. A tough kick and some dark electronics set the tone early for what evolves into an absolute beast of a remix from Retroid.
The gentlemen behind Mistiquemusic: Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic provide an outstanding remix here as well. The trio have come up with a cool, underground hypnotic vibe that's got great drive and dancefloor energy. It's an amazing contrast to Shane's much clubbier original, Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic have given the track exactly what it needs for some open air, festival play with it's big epic break and overall big party feeling.
Dutch producer Nick Hogendoorn makes his second appearance on Jetlag with a cool remix here. Nick first appeared on the label back in January of 2009 with a remix of Fady Ferreye's 'Night Time Stories'. Nick's Flux remix is an extremely well crafted melodic tech house rework that rivals any of his recetn Outside The Box material that has been spectacular. This is a very well- rounded and well thought out release from Jetlag Digital. Fans of club friendly progressive, underground progressive, breaks and tech house should find something great here!
