I worked with him last year during a production of Rigoletto and was very impressed. He sang with great beauty but always with the appropriate sense of drama.

Albert might very well be the best Amonasro of his time. I saw and heard his rendition live about 17 years ago, and he was splendid -- here he is just as good --
