Oh yeah, forgot to mention the pagan deities paraded around by the catholics, "madonnas" just as they did in the time of Babylon, except then it was Isis or Osiris. @Sublime2010Ya Actually although they have recorded the burnings audiotrack for the past 30 years, it's always been done with live vocals and soundtrack. Last year's groans were digitally modified vocals by Rod McNamara 14 years and Kenneth Garley 7 years. Before that his groans were provided by someone I can't remember for like 50 years, but he passed away,..

This is an all out drunken extraveganza. This is what fiesta's in Santa Fe is, NM version of mardi gras. Pagan as hell! And all the Catholics and Protestants are all there, so much for the God they claim to believe in. Gays/lesbians galore, pachucos, cholo's, and drunks of all kinds looking for fights. What a time. I wonder what these people's Christ would do if He was to suddenly come when this was underway? I don't think it would turn out good for them.

FYI Zozobra is not specifically a gay/lesbian celebration as the description of this posting suggests. I think it's fair to say that it is a gay/lesbian and "anything in the world that you want to be" friendly celebration! It's the fiestas de Santa Fe, it has been happening for generations and is a genuine local cultural affair! Everybody is welcome no matter what your "classification" is.
