  • who told you they where coming back because I have a cousin who works for that town and he was toled that they are not coming back due to having a lot of people to run those cars

  • Talk to somebody at the MBTA, but I think the PCCs are back up and running at Mattapan-Ashmont. Not absolutely sure though. The Watertown line will never be back.

  • I remember my dad and I went to Cedar Grove Cemetary in Dorchester in 1996 to tend to some of our relatives there. And the Mattapan High Speed Line was still running PCCs; as many of you know, Cedar Grove used to have a stop for the trolleys, and the line goes right through it. I know it's being rebuilt now, but are the PCCs coming back? I hope so; I'm thinking of going in just to ride them if I can.

  • The PCCs are coming back, if they are not back already.

  • I wish the Watertown A Line was in service. They should rebuilt track and T station as well. I have never been ridden when I was born during the 70's!

  • It was great to be able to just walk up the hill from where I live near Oak Square and hop on the trolley for a ride all the way into Park Street. And the area where Downtown Crossing is now used to have big department stores all over the place and about ten movie theaters lined Washington Street. It was an exciting place for a kid.

  • @Richthofen80 those LRVs weren't even worth the metal they were made of. the T sued Boeing and won because the LRV was such a turd

  • @burbank the PCC was a great machine and is a shame that they went. the LRV was a horrible piece of shit

  • tha CAHHHBAHHHN!

  • @mespada4940 I wish that as well. I attended meetings in Boston in 1988, advocating a return to streetcar service for that line and Arborway as well! And Boston should expand streetcar service now, given the rising gas prices and the congestion! That is not a city built for the car!

  • WOOOOOOW! The old wooden door PCCs, never thought I would see those again! Thanks

  • An old body of one of those rests in Bolyston station to this day, also Bolyston has an abondan system of tunnles that leads to South Station.. or something a long those lines.

  • Amazing video, the T could have and should have kept the A line up to Oak Square in Brighton. At least that way, Brighton Ctr and the more congested areas of Allston could've been serviced.

  • In a small way, it is back, i mean of course of the #57 bus. Not the same, i know.

  • oooooooooooooo ok well Im was talking about Watertown Ma. Because i know for fact they are also trying to stop having those buses that run on power to. The last time i live there they where still talking about it which was 1 and hafe yrs ago.
