Requested by someone, but I forgot who it was. D:

I did the intro spaz with natural sticking, typical DragonTaser...

The chart is missing a ton of snare, but it's still fun.

  • While working on the song we had versions with and without the ghost snares. We ultimately decided the song was more enjoyable for more drummers without them since it's nearly unpassable when it's fully authored. It also gives the harder accented snares more perceived power when the ghosts aren't authored.

Trust me, we heard them... and discussed pros and cons of authoring them. It's not like we author these things on a whim or something.

  • @Mystakin Personally, I think I'd have liked excessive difficulty :D

but I see where you're coming from.

But are you sure it would have been "nearly unpassable?"

  • wtf would be natural sticking on the intro spaz fill? RLRL wouldn't really work...

  • @LocustAnarchy natural sticking usually means crossing over instead of double sticking.

RRRYBB has a RYB crossover inside. the last B is left hand, so I bring my right hand to the last red note before the bass pedal.

You could also split it (mentally) into RRRY and BBR, starting with R for both of them.

  • @DragonTaser so you'd hit the yellow left handed? (I.E. the whole thing is just RLRLRLR?) man that sounds really awkward

  • @LocustAnarchy trust me, left hand yellows are hardly awkward for me

  • How do you make your drums sound louder than the rest of the song? That would make listening in a lot easier.

  • @Bret3333 This chart is not even close to accurate so I'm not sure what you mean...? By not accurate I mean there are so many ghost snares, and maybe ghost cymbal hits that are not charted. So it's really not that accurate, it's undercharted for the most part.

  • @jgjiggawhat it doesn't suck, it's just not hyper-accurately charted.

  • @Bret3333 This song is severely undercharted, what are you talking about?

  • @Mystakin Now that we're getting double bass versions of charts on the RBN, ever think we'd get a fully charted version of this?

  • OMG, so many missed snare notes in the charting around 4:10

Still an awesome song though, i'll buy it ASAP

  • how many times has this been fc'd?

  • i want to see Icarus lives correctly charted.

  • Now this is how all songs should be charted almost exactly how the real song would be played, none of that undercharted shit. I don't play rockband to breeze through hard songs with easy charts, I want a challenge. Mad props to whoever charted this I hope to see more Periphery on RBN they're an amazing band.

  • @Mystakin Can you please upload a video with the ghost snare chart? I'd like to see it!
