The Sun: Blazing Curse of the Crying Boy.
Fire ravages home of Ron and May Hall in Rotherham.
A Crying Boy portrait inexplicably escapes unscathed.

Firefighter Wilkinson observes many instances of the Crying Boy Portrait surviving devastating house fires. He can't explain it, but hs wife says, "its the tears that put the fire out.

Horrified victims of the Curse of the Crying Boy flood the paper with calls and stories.
The home of Dora Mann, from Mitcham, Surrey, engulfed by flames after hanging the portrait.
She states, All my paintings were destroyed except the one of the Crying Boy.
Sandra Kaske, of Yorkshire, her sister-in-law, and a friend all fall victim to fires after hanging the cursed portrait.
A Nottingham blaze leaves family homeless, their print intact.
The Parks family, After being treated for smoke inhalation, return from the hospital to find the tearful portrait hanging undamaged on the blackened wall of their burnt-out living room. They destroy it.
A woman in London sees her print swing from side to side.
A Devon mother reports her 11-year-old son "caught his private parts on a hook after buying bedeviled boy portrait.
Mrs Rose Farrington of Preston, reveals, Since she bought a print in 1959, her three sons and husband have all died.
A sun reader attempts to destroy two of the prints by fire; they will not burn. Security guard Paul Collier, places his Crying Boy onto a bonfire.
After an hour in the scorching flames, the boy remains unscathed.

Roy Vickery, of the Folklore Society, speculates, All these fires could be the childs curse, his way of getting revenge.

A Fire Brigade spokesman reassures that although there is no cause for alarm these incidents are becoming more frequent.

    it's a painting of a sad boy, as back then you didn't have such luxuries. you obviously haven't left your local neighbourhood.. try it sometime there are other people not like those in your street

  • If this is real, why is the possessive form of "it" used instead of the contraction of "it is", as it should have been, in the description?
