The Walkabout's Bonnie and Clyde song; with photos of Bonnie & Clyde. Inspired by the 1968 Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot song, 'Bonnie & Clyde'. If you compare the English translation of Gainsburg's song to this version, the lyrics are different. The first couple of lines are the same cause they are both taken from Bonnie's poem. The hook/chorus is the same though. I like both.

Bonnie And Clyde lyrics

By : Steve Wynn
everybody's talking about Jesse James
the way he lived and the way he died
but in love, even crime can draw a tighter bind
this is the story of Bonnie and Clyde
in his life, Clyde dreamed of the perfect lover
until one day his prayers came true
drawn together like a bow and arrow,
enter Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow
passion levels all that it encounters
like a drug, it needs no rhyme or reason
blood was spilt and lives were torn asunder
Clyde and Bonnie filled the land with wonder
fantasies of years they'd spend together,
shattered by a politician's pledge
always one step before the gallows
a lust for crime that wouldn't let them rest
headlines scream
POLICEMAN DEAD IN DALLAS
the long arm of the law was not amused
brighter shades of love were turning darker
curtains for Barrow and Bonnie Parker
the thrill is gone and panic takes its place
hope is growing dimmer by the hour
flashes of light against the black
carefully take aim and then attack-tack-tack
the final flickers of a dangerous life
Clyde sees the blood run from his dying wife
Bonnie breathes her last breath in despair
a vision of the corpse of Clyde Barrow
they laid them in the ground before the morning came
to stay together till the end of time
no coffin, no headstone and no marker
the end for Barrow and Bonnie Parker
Bonnie and Clyde, Bonnie and Clyde

  • This sounds and looks great, but you should state that Serge Gainsbourg wrote this song in the title. (He performed it with Brigitte Bardot),

  • @beckjuly100 I will add the info to the song's description. The lyrics are different. I do not mean just English vs French, the lyrics are not the same at all if you compare the English translation of Gainsburg's song to this one. The first couple of lines are the same cause they are both taken from Bonnie's poem. The hook/chorus is the same though; so I should say, "Inspired by.."

  • R.I.P to the bad girl and bad boy Bonnie and Clyde <3

  • Blanche Barrow, Buck's wife was part of the gang for a while, she lived until 1988. One of her relatives had a YouTube account and posted some stuff about the Barrow Gang, I don't know if it's still up or not.

  • fue una pena fueron los primeros asesinos de la historia

  • A sad yet beatiful story, Bonnie and Clyde baby!

  • As interesting as Bonnie & Clyde were as a part of American history, and even though their good looks and "charm" defied criminal stereotypes, I cannot fathom why anyone would romanticize them as heroes.

They were cold-blooded murderers. Nothing more.

  • I don't know if they are burning in hell...who knows if there is a hell, and if there is, does it really burn? I can say they were bad to the bone and a menace, but part of me has a problem with it all.

This is the United States of America. We are and have always been the "civilized" beacon for the world. Yet without any compunction or censure whatsoever, we killed these two...without warning, with no immediate crime being committed, and significantly, without due process of law.

    Civilized?
