LITTLE BRITAIN SPOOF AROUND THE BEATLES IN A PARALLEL WORLD...No, this isn't the real thing...It's something I wrote and produced myself...and it was hard to produce. I perform all the voices/impersonations from Tom Baker to John Lennon, although in the closes stages of this little 'take off' of Little Britain...my Lennon speaking voice turns out to be more like Noddy Holder (Slade) who is from what we call the 'Black Country' here, in the UK. I say I perform all the characters, but if you listen very carefully in the 'studio' sequence you will hear the real George Harrison, saying to Paul...''Your're playing that bass again''. I'm playing the instruments on the Beatles ''Jingle Bells''...although of course, if they had played it...it would have sounded a whole lot better! So in a nutshell a spoof, about a spoof...er, I think...I don't think the gags are obvious, but the ending refers to Yoko Ono and Cynthia Lennon; John Lennon's first wife . Funny; those I've spoken to regarding this sketch...didn't understand the ending...oh well, you'll be pleased to know I won't be doing another one of these...anyway, too much like hard work...and very little praise for my efforts! Oh well, back to the old drawing board...well, I just hope some of you find it entertaining. If some of you think about laughing, you may stop yourselves 'just in time'.

Thanks anyway

  • Hi James,

So sorry, I'm positive that I responded, looks like it must have got lost in hyperspace.

Absolutely brilliant, I didn't know John came from Wolverhampton LOL. Honestly James, the story line was fab and the video great. The impersonations were top shop.

    Brilliant mate

    Best wishes

    Mark :)

  • Hi Mark

Thanks for your comment...I think where I lost the 'John' voice most (and Jayne agrees) is where he says ''Here, hang on a minute''... etc.. Jayne reckons I sound like Noddy Holder, or was it an impersonation of you? Ha Ha! Ta Ra a bit!

Again, thanks for this long awaited comment. Only kidding!

    Best wishes

    James

  • Hey Mark!

Just realised...I don't know me own script!

    See ya!

    James

  • Hi Mr Softshoe, "Sunshine ' was asking you if there is a drum named after a woman ,lol, Is a snare a single ,small drum, I think it will be a great place to "GO' to. meet all that talent, I do hope 'Sunshine' doesn't change Her singing style of 'Jingle Bells' To the 'Bloke's In The 'Frock' Just such fun stuff' Have a good rest of the Day,:.Margie! .

  • Hi again!

Yes, correct, 'Snare' is the main drum in a a kit that drives the beat! A bloke in a frock...Sunshine is definitely not!

    Thanks Margie!

    Warm Christmas wishes

    James

  • Even though I do not know of this show to which you and Margie are referring to, as we do not have it broadcast here in the US, I found your skit hilarious, James! I get it! :) Love the "Poor Imitation Productions" credit! Is there really such a a drum named after a woman? There must be some special story behind this for a drum to be named after her! ROTFL - I'm sorry, James, I'm laughing so hard right now...can't help myself.. great vid...

    All the best,

    Sunshine :)

  • Hi Sunshine

No, no! Don't be a silly billy! The drum is just called a Snare...a Snare drum! I made the name up...for a bit of wit...got to be careful here... er...I did think of you when I was writing it, the name I came up with sounded better than; Julie, Anne, Jane or whatever! I'm pleased the British sense sense of humour cut it with you!

    Talk later

    Best wishes

    James

  • The intro was fucking boring, and the rest of the sketch is absolute gold. I nearly stopped watching before it got to the good stuff. The first 3 minutes can be cut out, and NOTHING would be lost.
