Rohit is a founding member of the 360 Digital Influence group at Ogilvy and author of the best selling new book Personality Not Included, a guide on how to use personality to reinvent your marketing that has been published globally in 8 languages. About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
Really interesting Rohit... Marketing has become such hype with shitty buzz-words and magical results. Fact is if it's successful – 8 out of 10 it's dumb luck. You can plan and use your noodle as far as possible, the rest is good people and "sexiness" (i.e. good presentation/great design).
There is FAR too much over analysis that goes on.
But I've just experienced a company that does NO planning and just goes and does things... I struggle on that!
