For all of you who haven't seen this video, it's NOT MINE. It was originally made and posted by VAinoMinako, and she requested that all vidders who agree with her upload this video to their accounts.
And just in case you are wondering, I haven't been having any problems with my subscribers (*hugs*), but hearing that some vidders have is upsetting and I wish it would stop.
If you have a YouTube account, please visit this link http://www.sendspace.com/file/1jcvmk and upload this video to your account, then post it as a response to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep8ra-kWD9I
And as a quick update, I've changed the viewing options my last video; I've been hearing that a lot of accounts with Tw*l*ght videos have been getting warnings or shut down all together, so I thought it was best to play it safe.
well said, well said! :) (clapping) :D

This is a really good video. Kudos to the person who made it.
When I was first starting out on youtube, I cared a lot about subscribers because I wanted to be like the "famous" youtube vidders (I wasn't doing many fanvids then), but then I got really into the actual video editing and the subscribers were forgotten (not actually, I love my subscribers, but I stopped caring about the number of them). Video editing is amazingly fun.

Wow. This is so so true. This is exactly how I've felt ever since I started. I've always just gone idea by idea... as steadily as I can. I never even thought about subscriptions.. For the longest time, I didn't even know how it worked... lol Although I appreciate the people who truly enjoy something I make, I don't think it would help a person's free creative growth if they think too much about expectations. espacially if their topics are changing or unpredictable. you gotta have a balance.

Heh, I've never cared about subscribers. It's cool that I have as many as I do, but I've never felt any kind of obligation to my subscribers. I've never felt as though I can't make what I want because I have to worry about youtube ratings. Maybe it's because I started vidding in 2001, long before youtube existed. Still, great video! VAinoMinako is spot on!

You're totally right but that's how youtube is because that's how people are. People want power. But individually we can rise above it. I started youtube 3 years ago inspired by videos like yours FOR FUN and I still find it fun. A lot of people are really kids who have to learn that lesson themselves. But sometimes encouragement helps motivate people to create more awesome work.

I agree wholeheartedly.
The only reason I'm not reposting this is because I would rather keep my channels (this one and my backups) to the videos I make myself. But I totally agree. ^_^
