Sterling's father Coo Coo Marlin won a Gatorade Duel a Daytona in the 70's it was his only trip to Victory Lane.

yeah, they said Sterling Wasn't marketable? Who gives a damn, he can drive. That's all they look for nowadays a kid who can sell.

I am almost at the verge of tears watching this! I am just now 25 years old and have been a Marlin fan from this day in Florida when I was there! It's sad what the #4 team has become and how Marlin has been shoved out. God bless Sterling Marlin, the last Good 'Ol boy of Racing. As much as I respect him retiring, I miss seeing him on the track every week. To the past I guess... Go Marlin

This was back when Morgan-McClure was competitive. If anyone here is thinking if I'm going to keep complaining, you're damn right, especially since my favorite driver now drives for that team.
