The one place that shouldn't be cut is miltary. PBS is just a start and as good a place to start as any. That is useless spending. PBS can stand on its own with out my tax dollars. It's the parents job to teach there children at an early age. I shouldnt have to pay for that. I pay taxes for schools and that's all I owe some one else's kids. I'm sick of people thinking the government owes them something.

WHAT???? Romney donated 29.4% of his entire income to charity last year (over $4,000,000), VOLUNTARILY! AND THEN, he didn't count $1.8 million of that to deduct from his taxes. That is how it should be. People willing taking care of others. It is NOT the governments role or place to mandate this stuff.

By the way, Obama only gave 21% of his income to charity. OH! And Biden only gave 1.5%.

So who here really cares about poor people?

The whole story and numbers are on Politico News.

Plus the $656,000,000 a year for the 16,000 new IRS agents hired to enforce Obamacare.

True, but combine that with the $527 million to Evergreen Solar, $500 million to Solyndra, $400 million to Abound Solar, $115 million to Ecotality, $279 million to A123 Solar, $100 million to Ener1; Foeign Aid: $27 million to China, $71 million to Russia, $25 million to Brazil, $126 million to India, $757 million to Mexico, $843 million to Jordan,$1.5 BILLION to Egypt, $1.8 BILLION to Pakistan, etc. Now we are getting somewhere.

Guys, you really don't get it. Its all based on principle in a terrible economy why, no matter how insignificant, are we spending money on utterly pointless television lie PBS, which we can only get, mind you, by paying for basic cable anyway. There are plenty of other stations, hundreds of them, social media, bit torrents to download movies and episodes of tv shows, its all about cutting back the unnecessary fat. PBS will likely still be on the air considering most of the money is donation.

PBS is not for profit and all the money made from licensing merchandise is put back into running PBS. The subsidies allow them to broadcast in poor and rural areas at a loss, so cuts mean they won't reach the people who need it most. This is like cutting back on your children's vaccines and vitamins to have more gas money for your Italian sportscar.

There are conservative talk shows though. The McLaughlin Group, and I know it's been off the air but Firing Line was *extremely* conservative. Do you still support PBS taking government money to air them? Because it seems like you have a deep hatred for Republicans.
