Out with the old and in with the new! After a big year of new features and new hardware for Media Composer, Matt's in the Rough Cut studio visiting with the ghosts of NLE's past. Take a trip down memory lane and check out some things that you may have forgotten, and some that you have definitely never seen.
Wow, I still have a lot of those boxes at the office, including the Avid Droid. :) Thanks for the video Matt.

First day EVER on the job in London and I plugged one of those Steenbeck controllers into the wrong port on a PowerPC Mac...and blew the motherboard. Good way to impress the boss. Amazingly I survived and Avid and I have been better friends for years.

Brings back fond memories. I was a beta tester for your droid controller because I used a "Edit Droid" when they were in beta. I was am an old Moviola editor. I started on uprights then onto flat beds. O do I remember the task of changing all the audio tracks. We had six of 35mm audio units servo locked with our flatbed.
I was an early adapter to Avid. T used it untill I retired.
P.S. I have the lighter too.
