I found mine today. I'm from Vancouver, I bought it when I was going to Southeastern Louisiana University--1990. Hooked it up today with Creative T20 speakers I bought in Taipei--99 bucks. Put in some Billy Joel and Beatles. Sounded great!!!!!
Oh nostalgia and lucky timing. No, jesus doesn't plan for your life. Chance is chance.

Love it! I had one! :)

I bought one of the from the Federated Group. I paid like $250 dollars for it. It was just before Federated Group went out of business. I played the Devil out of that thing. It was built like a tank, machined aluminum parts and stamped metal case. The display would illuminate this kind of cool orange/yellow but only when plugged into the external power adapter. I remember my first 3 CDs were Journey Greatest Hits, ZZ Top Eliminator and Ultravox The collection (found in a Gemco Parking lot)

I still have mine. Battery is long dead and no luck finding a new one. I loved the mechanical aspect of these older portable devices, Walkman included. MP3 players have no soul.

i had one of these, it took a rechargable battery which it would charge from the 9v input even while playing.
i use to use a sega gamegear rechargable battery pack on mine to give me nearly 12 hours of use - no skip protection but aslong as you wernt running, and it was in a back pack (with earphone remote control) you were set.

how much did it go for?
