The gunman took it easy on them. He could have used an assault gun. He could have chosen an easier target like a school basket ball game where everyone is packed onto bleachers. He could have chosen a church on Sunday morning with everyone packed into pews. He could have chosen a daycare center and wiped out all the kids. It would have had a much greater public effect if he had done the daycare.

I just wonder if any of you even consider that guns are tools. They are inanimate objects. They are no more good or evil than a screwdriver or a chainsaw. And just like a screwdriver or a chainsaw they can be used in various ways by different people, for sport, for fun, or unfortunately as tools of destruction. Guns are not the cause of all problems with society, nor are they the sole solution. They are a tool to be applied only when the situation is appropriate. No tool should be banned.

Hey come on. Being Anti-war doesn't make one a wacko. But planning to or actually killing people on Ft Hood makes one a wacko. Its just weird how there has been 2 Massacres in the area, and a 3rd was narrowly averted.

@echovarde Baaaaaaa!!!!! You and all the sheep like you are diluted. If some lunatic got it into his head that you should die, do you really think your dog will be much opposition? All it will do is alert you in time to dial 911 and let you sit and wait minutes for police to show up, which is 10 times longer than it would take for the guy to find you and snuff you. We live in a society where criminals are not afraid of the law or the consequences of their actions.
