Well good luck! I support my local Law Enforcement but I PROVIDE for my and my loved ones security! If the day EVER came we lose our 2nd Amendment rights; prepare to live as asubject/slave to goverment! An ARMED man is a CITIZEN!-an UNARMED man is a subject! There are 3 types of people in the world, all are necessary and have a role, the sheep (majority), the sheepdogs (lesser #'s), the wolves(least #)! As for me, IM a sheepdog! as for oBAAAma and kennedy folks, I stand to RESIST the tyranny!

Your statements are total BS ... we don't live in the 18th century. We have an armed community with the police... in 1789 there was not a city police force so people may have needed guns... NOT TODAY... no way could a community "defend itself" against those who might come in with big firepower.  You total dumbo if you believe this propaganda. Well lets see,...its 1AM,...an intruder breaks in intent on rape/murder...
1. Call 911...when the cops arrive, its TOO late to save your ass
2. Submit...results same as above but takes longer discover your corpse and clean the mess.
3. Draw down and take the CRIMINAL INTRUDER out!-YES the begining of a nightmare,investigation, court etc..but at least your ALIVE!

Let;s see... first of all I am smart enough to live in a town where your 1AM example is totally irrelevant.... I do recall when my brother-in-law came home from Vietnam... surprised his folks by trying to come in the door at 2:30 AM... his dad got the family cannon and dam near shot his son who had survived Vietnam.... People are totally in lo-lo land if they think that having a gun is going to protect them from the govt.. US army will take out all the gun nuts. The world has changed. This is 2009. The US has a standing army. The 2nd amendment was written when we had a citizen army. The militia was expected to drive off the British and Indians. No way did the constit. writers authorize Amer. to have more fire power in the back seat than all of Wash.'s army at Battle of Trenton. 2nd Amend is totally outdated. More kids & relatives are killed than thuggies. 2nd Amend. needs to be repealed. I don't like Obama but will support elimination of guns
