@ohmss069, Obama didn't win by enough to call it a blowout. If he had garnered 65% to McCain's 35%, that would have been a blowout. The races are fairly close these day, reflecting a closely split nation.

Considering that the 2008 election was a blowout, I'd say it's pretty substantial to claim that Palin had little chance of becoming a president. Luckily there are enough sensible people in America whom thus won't vote for her, or McCain.
