  • Incredible orchestration. Love music that challenges the ear, and pushes the Art forward. D. Alexandr D'Maddalena

  • best of best, nechapu minusy

  • @TheVaughan5 Time will tell. Many of the great composers of the past had the exact same slurs said about them. Perhaps a later generation will find value in the compositions that were made last century (in fact, I'm absolutely positive they will). It is an unfortunate event that many people do not appreciate the composers of their own time.

  • @bartje11 I will certainly agree with that!! Absolutely wonderful.

  • The finest of his symphonies, wish he had lived longer to write a few more but at least he left us with a wonderful legacy.

  • A great 20th c. composer who deserves more exposure, a very individual style and very approachable unlike most of the new rubbish that gets programmed today and is seldom heard again for obvious reasons.

Good that it's the Czech Phil. on this recording.

  • Skutečně krásné,je to symfonie neuvěřitelná.

  • premiered in 1955 in Boston , last of the 6 symphonies composed by Martinu, enigmatic beauty, shining orchestration
