Sketch And Calc calculates the area and perimeter of any regular or irregular shape you draw. The area and perimeter results are displayed when the shape is closed. The scale can be adjusted to accommodate very large areas such as the floor plan of a building, or the area of a kitchen work surface.
Users can also opt to work in meters and centimetres or feet and inchs using the Imperial or Metric system of their choice.
Using your cursor, draw the shape of any object. Line lengths are displayed below the cursor to ensure measurements are accurate. And they can be adjusted after the shape is complete. The area and perimeter results are then displayed.
In addition to being able to add or delete new vertices, and change the scale, the tool offers a Sharing feature. This allows users to save the calculation as an URL to paste into an email or blog. Thus supporting users wishing to collaborate on the calculation with others.
Version 3 of SketchAndCalc has now been released. Check out a video of the new features in the video response above.

Video demonstration and Imperial results are welcome additions.
I just used it to calculate how much concrete I needed for my driveway by multiplying the area with the depth. Then divide the total cubic feet by the coverage per bag (.667 of a cubic foot).
Awesome, can't believe this thing is still free!
