  • @jrrdking You dont need to know any french because you will be taught and it is a personal journey.

  • I'm irish, spent 5 years with La Legion. Best 5 years of my life. Came out in September 2010 with an honourable record. I was in the 2nd REP (2nd Parachute Regiment).

Since I came out I've been bored and am considering returning before xmas this year. I cannot find anything that challenged me like La Legion did. It is a way of life, a discipline like no other. It sets you up to achieve anything.

Vous êtes pas un légionnaire jusqu'à ce que vous remplissez vos bottes avec votre propre sang.

  • I think I could serve in the legion if subtitles appeared every time somebody spoke

  • @tefylobuth2

hello, I have a question about the legion. I heard when you join you are allowed to quit/drop out at certain times between the first 16 weeks and not be considered a desserter. If you quit after that you are gona be picked-up by french police anytime you set foot in france. will you confirm this information? thank you

  • @tefylobuth2 And NOONE will take away your honor sir. Impressive. My respects.

  • @jrrdking Join the US Army Infantry. If you think that's "too lightweight," you'd be in for a shock. It is the Army that has many additional schools (if you pack the gear): northern warfare, jungle warfare, Pathfinder, Ranger, SF, SERE, etc. GL

  • @tefylobuth2 why did you not become a French Citizen? and can I ask you, why did you choose la legion over Irish armed Forces?

  • @jjmaster From a friend thats been there, he told me its best to know French. I told him I didnt care but he said it like this "brother, you have no idea how they will teach you".

  • u dont need to speack french they will teach u
