Boundary Peak, NV, Elevation 13,140 feet, highest point in Nevada. A photo montage of our trek, August 5, 2010. Trail has improved over the years but there is still some rock scramble. No water, we took 4 quarts each, drank 3. Strenuous hike up, tedious coming down (watch your step), but the 360 degree view is well worth the effort. Initially, aim for the low saddle to the north, then trail up the west side of the ridges. By all means avoid the more direct initial route over scree up the canyon to the southeast. 4-wheel drive can reduce the hike somewhat, gets you 1000 feet higher and a mile or so closer. Enjoy.
