TATTOO Barbie ! | Controversial or NOT ?

Complaints about the new doll have convinced some stores to stop sales. * * * * * ---------- [MARCH 2009]


Barbie is 50 years old this year, and she is celebrating by getting tattoos. Mattel has come out with the "Totally Stylin' Tattoos" Barbie for its spring line.

She comes with a set of tattoo stickers, which can be placed anywhere on her body. The set also comes equipped with a tattoo gun that is similar to a water gun so kids can stamp temporary tattoos on themselves. It's not a surprise the inked-up doll has some parents pretty upset.

This isn't the first time Mattel has pushed the envelope on Barbie. A few years ago, her best friend "Midge" was pregnant, and her belly would pop out a curled-up baby when it was opened.

pregnant. Sorry parents its you job to try and prevent that not Barbies. I still hold a grudge. I loved that line and to this day when I think about when I get married and have kids ill be thing of how I could explain to my child (considering if it likes barbies) what it thing of having a new family member read the artical and see what the happy family lines about if you don't understand.

Honestly Just a few years ago I had my beloved Barbie Midge she was the pregnant one from the happy family line? Apparently since kids think so deep into the issue of everything like tattoos they think that their young child will too. Well guess what? I was 9 when they took that barbie off shelves along with the rest off the line and until I read the artical I dug up this year I never knew why never thought the parents we're to blame because parents thought that midge was making their kids
