@tandemmontecello I totally agree: how could they be fighting for "their freedom" so far away from their own country??? i would be more precise and say they're fighting where there's no business for them to be.

This holds especially true for illegal wars started and fought just to sell weapons and make a few people (e.g. Dick Cheney) wealthy. Why do we fight.

Not even sure why we are still in Iraq. If I remember correctly, President Bush, made a speech that declared the mission was accomplished, in other word declared a victory.

i do truly support our troops i just really think it is rediculous when people say "they're fighting for our freedom". they're fighting against terrorism which doesnt yet threaten our freedom. you could make the argument that the troops in afgansistan are fighting for our freedom but in iraq no way. this WWII where our border are being threatened

But aren't we overrunning Iraqi civilians and forcing them to live by our standards? Given, some may want democracy, but can you honestly watch the news and claim that they want us there?
