  • Man ive got the lightening. Now i really want a goldtop like that

  • His discussion at 7:38 onward regarding tone and the conception of guitar tone is the best advice I've ever heard anyone give regarding emulating your hero's.

  • @rodolforibas

Audley's gotta pay the rent man. For every time he does a tour with the Crowes or Frampton he can afford to lay it down with no cover charge in the bars, and as he says play what he really digs.

  • I respect Peter Frampton and all, but... it's like SRV playing 2nd guitar for Eric Clapton...

  • audley rules!

  • @funkyjones Ya I can tell that amp sounds incredible, as Matchless always does. The mic's too close for my taste though. I like distant miking. Doesn't capture all that gross harshness.

  • @funkyjones Man I agree, once a month I pay a visit to part 2 just to get some inspiration tone wise. I mean, I can't get that awesome Matchless crunch, but still..

  • He's gigging with Frampton now? Jeez, two guitar monsters there! He makes those Gibby's sound pretty twangy in this clip. He's got awesome chops. I luv the COL stuff even though they only released two albums their tunes were great. What a player and pretty well spoken too. Never would have guessed that he's a Malcolm Young fan. I figured Hendrix, Trower, S.R.V. with some Rev. Billy & Paul Kossoff sprinkled in would be his influences.

  • Massive tone. What a nice guy and a helluva player.

  • @triviani1234 AGREED!! Plus better tone without a triple decker pedalboard!!
