Rodrick Nelly, a 45-year-old District native, has been living in shelters for
the last two years and sought refuge at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church on
Tuesday. Church members joined with those at Ebenezer United Methodist Church to offer meals and warmth to their neighbors. For the first time in 180 years, the two churches worked together to put an end to the racial divide that exists within the community. Video by Manuel Bewarder and Caroline Stetler.
