Jeffery, If you go to CalTech and tell them about your "idea" of time constant and your motivation behind is to "unify" quantem mechanics and theory of general relativity they will look you in the eye silently (with their sub-conscious thinking that something bad might happen to them if they don't give an answer that you want them give) and tell you that there is ALREADY a theory that unifies QM and GR...it is called Quantum Gravity!! Very interesting video but time doesn't exist the way you think it dues. It can be bent and manipulated by mass and other things. Light isn't constant just the speed of light, gravity can affect light "Gravity is actually a bending of space and time." But nothing can alter the speed of light. Also nothing with mass can ever reach the speed of light.

Of course the latest theory that joins theory of the large(gravity), and theory of the small(Quantum), is string theory. In your theory of time is constant, I'm not sure I see a relationship in the quantum realm, just in the gravity realm. Electrons move at the speed of light. Anytime you have established a speed of light, you have also established time.

I am considering your theory of light not being constant. Well, light is not constant in one aspect. When the gravity is so great (as in a black hole), light cannot escape, therefore cannot be constant in that case. One hurtle for this theory is , how can light move faster than "the speed of light"? We see that light can be slowed, can it be excellerated?
