I've just been tapped to play lead trumpet for a nearby church performance of this entire album. So I listen to the recording and think "holy smoke--who is this trumpet player? He's fantastic!" So I learn for the first time about the amazing Chris Jaudes, who is a jazz trumpet teacher at Juilliard. Great--I've really got my work cut out for me. I thought I knew them all...
