This is Milt Buckner playing his composition "Pour toutes mes soeurs (For all my sisters)". The announcer is Illinois Jacquet. This was filmed in the Château de l'Empéri in Salon-de-Provence in southern France on july 18, 1975. for the movie "Jazz En Provence".
Thanks to the late Otto Flückiger!!!

  • TOO MANY STOPS ON THIS ORGAN! Milt Buckner is the best :-D

  • The most exquisite use of the hammond i've ever heard.

  • 1:18 = Great Moment in Jazz

  • I love the way Mr. Buckner hums to his Hammond - It reminds me of how Glenn Gould would hum when playing the piano but Mr. Buckner was Jazzy.
