I think better than Mario...had more raw skilll. Maybe not as good overall hockey sense, but skillwise he's close to the best of all time(behind Gretzky, Orr).

Ranger fans came to see Jagr's greatness. First class ego and a bit of a jerk but on the ice? This guy is one of the most naturally skilled and beautiful hockey players ever witnessed. He was only 20 doing this stuff! He put up big numbers then but they would've been bigger if he wasn't always on the 2nd line. Once Mario was sidelined and they needed Jaromir, he exploded. The year they played together? A combined 131 goals and 310 points in 82 games (12 with Mario out)!!!
