@tripwire2581 well cutting from the back on a plush sheers the nap, thats how i was taught, but when i started my own business i always try to cut from the top, if its quality carpet its easy if its crap then i try to go in farther from the edge and sometimes you just have to straight edge from the back but last resort, and for me i get better seams when i run rows on a plush but your right it bows but thats what berber does so either way you fight it
@bobbruce Yes, it does have a pattern. The lines. If you put two light rows together, you just broke the pattern. Dark-Light-Dark-Light... <-- Pattern
Dark Dark-Light-Dark-Light_dark etc---Not a pattern.
i never row plush carpets....never had problems. I've actually had Less problems than installers that do.. Cos the rows are NEVER PERFECT and some are Way Bowed. (70%, i'd say)
