Micro stuttering is my worse enemy. I have only experienced it on first person shooters.

fuck this guy is fuckin useless

micro stuttering are usually relate to physics effect and ai animation which these are mostly cpu demand. what gpu had done in game is just texture, pixel, polygon, shader and geometry lighting. that is why nvidia attempt to publish the physx and cuda because they know processor had reach to it's limitation on threading, ipc and flout point performance(flops) which these are very important in ai simulation and physics environment in game.

The lack of a detailed answer is because the cause behind micro stuttering is still a mystery. People have some ideas as to what causes it but they haven't been able to pinpoint the issue for SURE (otherwise ati and nvidia would've found a solution by now).
Micro stuttering is still a problem even with the latest cards & drivers. Benchmarks keep showing crossfire/sli as amazing setups with great value for your money...but they never mention how many issues can pop up with multi-gpu setups.

The GTX 295 has issues with Micro Stuttering!

Who`s he smiling at? He`s always look at and smiling at someone at the start! Must be the sexy lady who works nearby!
Anyway, I remember getting micostutters in IL2, used to drive me crazy, but since several upgrades and 5 years I can`t remember getting microstutters any more. Guess it`s all getting better.

@breebw hmmm IDK sounds like you got them mixed up. Stuttering usually occurs when there is too much data being called and loaded and the PC setup cannot handle it. So if your system has low RAM or VRAM or even a slow HD then stuttering will happen.
Micro-Stuttering appears to be an actual bug related to graphics synchronization in the Game engine, possibly made more noticeable by certain graphics drivers and/or chips.

@ItsjustagameNUB Microstuttering in a video game differentiates itself from just plain low frame rate. Microstuttering is a short sharp halt in the game for some milliseconds. It often has a regular frequency. Sometimes every 10 seconds. so that means 6 per minute. The tiniest, yet noticeable stop in the framerate. I have my own theory with SLI. Its the texture ram buffering in the bus between the cards.

I had a 9800GX2, which was a dual GPU/PCB videocard. The microstuttering completely destroyed my gaming experience in graphics intensive games such as Crysis in which my card already had a hard time to get 30 FPS stable. I am so glad I got the GTX285 single GPU later on, it's so much more better and smoother (especially at low FPS). I will never EVER go dual-GPU again (whether it's ATI or NVIDIA) untill this problem has been officially solved.
I think he made a mistake... it's Micro Stuttering, not Micro Shuttering... he probably corrected it and re-uploaded
thanks for caring Mr. Reynolds! :D
