Forget the D4 - get the D800, half the price, better resolution, lighter and a real OMG
-
Who cares how it's pronounced. We all agree that they make nice cameras and Jared makes nice photos, reviews, previews and tutorials.

Uhm... I talked to Nikon Denmark, yes I live in that tiny tiny country, and they told me the D4 will shoot 98 frames in continuous burst mode before you fill up the buffer? It's on the new Sony XQD cards tho... It's not that long ago btw. I think it was february 13th in Denmark.

@raptor2285 Actually Aluminium is said the same its the syllable length thats different but taking the Nai-kon concept on that word, shouldnt it be Alu-my-nai-um?
My offence comes from Jareds ignorant response of GET OVER IT Jared gets all tighty whitey about Nai-kon cause I LIVE IN USA SO WE CALL IT WHAT WE WANT (as his comments seem to suggest) I understands its how its said in USA, but Jared is being childish and typically Americanly-ignorant about the situation. USA is 1 country

OMFG all these specs and an amazing camera and your discussin how to pronunciate the name? WTF people?! :|
-
@Pepingco The point isn't that they pronounce it differently because they're in the US, the point is that, like here in Canada, with our English accents that's how we pronounce it. We don't pronounce Canon like Cay-non because that's not how our accents work! Why doe British people say aluminium like alu-miinium. If it were spelt Nick-on, more North Americans would pronounce it like the Japanese do. It's not because of some american pride thing that you're making it out to be.
-
Why are americans all so defencive about the way they pronounce it? Its a Japanese Name, but Americans are always ITS HOW WE SAY IT IN THE USA. So who cares, you are just one country, the rest of us actually respect the proper pronunciation of names. So is Canon pronounced Cay-non? is Olympus Ol-ai-m-pus?
If anyone forgot, Nikon USA uses Nai-kon in their commercials because 90% of USA dont know its a Japanese Camera. Am I wrong? but its how we believe it here in the WORLD, get over it!

NEEKON! NOT NAYKON OMFG

woopdeedoo, the people in the uk (most) call it n-ih-kun
This comment has received too many negative votes show
No Offense, please pronounce the word NIKON by (nee-kon) not (ny-kon). Japanese made the brand and called it NIKON (nee-kon), it's a brand name so it's a bit messy to pronounce it so strangely. It's like pronouncing the brand APPLE (ahh-pol) to (ahy-pol). A little respect for the manufacturers themselves. BTW nice review on the new NIKON D4, you always have the nicest reviews for DSLR. Thanks ^_^

@wickedsk8 NOPE, people need to GET OVER THIS so called mispronouncing. In the US all advertisements say NeyeKON that is how it is said here from their PR people to their commercials. You can call it whatever you want but thats how it is said here, so i will not be changing how I say it thank you.
