  • This is a comment from me to everyone here posting comments. Let's please stop all the negative Elvis bashing. Negativity is bad.

  • MegaHenry111,

Elvis better than Beethoven? PLEASE! The world has been listening to Beethovens music for more than 230 years! He did sing in choirs and he composed over 150 lieder songs. Beethoven also played Piano, Organ, Violin and Viola. Elvis DID NOT compose his own music. Beethoven

composed thousands of compositions and Elvis, ZERO! Plus Beethoven composed some of his best music when he was DEAF! I am an Elvis fan but Elvis did not compose the greatest symphony of all time!

  • @LVB1770 How can you guys even compare Elvis and Beethoven? Rock'n'roll and classical? xD It's a whole different time and music in general

  • Hi BlackRose1453, Actually Classical and Rock and Roll are not all that different. Classical in interwoven into Rock. Yes it is a whole different time but Classical music has had a huge influenced on Rock and Roll. Beethoven influenced Elvis, the Beatles, Queen, Zappa and many others. Metallica played with the SF Symphony, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen play with Symphony orchestras and the list goes on and on.

  • Whats the piece at 12:50? PLEASE tell me :D

  • Beethoven was one of the most legendary composers ever born onto earth he created the most beautiful music, he could do soo much even when he was deaf! his music is amazing!

  • @ragtimesamtime Symphony no. 7, 3rd movement

  • @LVB1770 Maybe at shaking his pelvis he was.

  • What was failed to mention is that Beethoven"s father beat him and kept him locked in his room a virtual prisoner.

  • @tomthefunky roflmao...

  • The greatest German musical genius in history isn't Bach, Beethoven or Mozart. It's David Hasselhoff.

  • The popularity and relevance of symphonic form, sonata form...etc. are steeped in the rhythms and lifestyles of the time. Is there such a thing as a "permanent human condition" to which the arts can speak to us ? Is this adoration of the past little more than a guarantee for the preservation of "high culture" and it's wealthy patriarchal, war loving guardians ? Modernity has shown us that most art is concerned with narcissism rather than a display of an eternal sacred geometry of the soul.

  • Musicians after Beethoven had to either expound on what he had done, or step foot on an entirely different musical path-- there was no use going back to what was heard before Beethoven. There must have been an outiside force playing a role in his compositions, maybe Beethoven himself was from somewhere else-- the music exceeds human genius, that's all I know; it is entirely separate from everything that came before and after it.
