This is my first ukulele song about my Berlin trip in June 2011. I'm a member of the 1st German ukulele club since 2010 (hey, I'm from Canada no less!), and I decided to hit Berlin Germany before the Dutch/German uke get-together in June 2011, in Winterswijk, Holland. Anyway, I was so impressed with my short time in Berlin (mainly in Kreuzberg) that I decided to write 7 ukulele songs about the city and call it my "Ukulele Stories from Berlin." This is the first song, and I've already written a second song. I'm returning to Berlin in October to get more ideas for my songs! Enjoy! This is dedicated to all my German friends! Viel Spaß!
My hotel room number in Kreuzberg was 51. Nothing to do with "Area 51." ;-) The ukulele is a new Martin S0 (made in Mexico), but bought in Kreuzberg at Leleland. 8-) I used a Casio LK-270 for the beat.
Here is the ukulele sheet music:

Room 51 in Kreuzberg
====================
In a city that never dreams (oh Berlin oh)
Room 51 with invisible walls
And the ghosts won't let me sleep
Room 51 in Kreuzberg
In a city that's gone too far (oh Berlin)
All the anarchists and squatters resist
Long for a bar in the DDR
Somewhere down Mehringdamm
I've seemed to have lost my way
An empty bottle on the sidewalk stands
As the lovers last kiss of the day
CHORUS
Somewhere down Mehringdamm
The green hatted man points the way
And the sketchy kids with melodicas
Play "Hit the Road Jack" every day
Geht gut ins Ohr! Die Harmonien sind sehr originell und ungewöhnlich. Toll, was du aus der Ukulele herausholst. Bleib weiter so kreativ!

@ohrenblicke : Danke. Ich bin sprachlos. 8-) Ich war begeistert über Berlin und Kreuzberg! Ich wollte nur etwas zurückgeben.
