I had never fully realized or appreciated the depth of musical ability present in the Grateful Dead until this appeared on the Wake of the Flood album in 1973 - this floored me! This coincided with my first awakenings to the joys of jazz music! Now on to part 2!!

I listen to music the way I drink beer. Seasonally! This is on repeat in the Fall. As we creep into the November month it turns to the Animals album by Pink Floyd.

I always really liked this song. It's so different than most of their songs, not that they don't have a ridiculous variety or anything. I went on Dead tour in 1992 on the east coast when I was just sixteen. Beautiful times, beautiful people. I miss you guys & girls. Most have died off and blended into society. And this band & entire jam-band scene in general saved this would be hoodlum from a life of anger.
