Clay Dafoe warns Austin City Council of wasteful attorney dependence - Austin City Council 8/4/11

Clay Dafoe, an Austin resident, rises in opposition to Item 7 giving $75,000.00 in contract money to outside counsel law firm Thompson & Knight LLP for legal services at Austin City Council on August 4, 2011.

Item 7:
Authorize the negotiation and execution of amendment to the outside counsel contract with Thompson & Knight, LLP for legal services relating to the redevelopment of the Green Water Treatment Plant property, in the amount of $75,000, for a total contract amount of $267,000.

Austin City Council approves measure by a vote of 5-0, with Council members Sheryl Cole and Kathie Tovo off the dais.
