  • fantastic camera on the kayak following the kayaker under water and the movements. thanks, great video idea.

  • depends on your perspective.

sweep is generally considered easier, but c to c keeps your face toward the boat so you can't get bashed in the nose by a rock.

I'm practicing sweep. It's better to have a roll that might maybe get you in trouble than to not have one at all.

  • Great video i found this extremely useful!!!

  • @criso1994

You might still want to practice it a few times in a calm area with someone nearby. You don't want to be in a dangerous spot and realize it wasn't as effortless as originally anticipated.

  • @criso1994 practice. a lot, it sooo much harder to get down then you think, but once you get it its easy. especially practice if your white water kayaking.

  • i just bought a kayak and was worried i would go underwater and drown but now i know the technique to get back and it looks quite simple

  • Cool. I have to master that this summer, best vid ive seen on the subject, Thanks.

  • sick :)

  • In the river, a high brace is not a waste.Minimising time with head down exposed to river bed is kind of interesting to us. But, learning and using are two different thiings.

  • You must really hate your shoulder!

  • As an added bonus it also gets water up your nose!

  • The angle (from setup on top of the water with the paddle to your side) is the front blade, side towards you should be just over the water with the outside edge of that blade in the water. give it a go and see how much it helps.
