Skyfire's mobile Internet browser is quite impressive. After you install the browser client on your Windows mobile phone (and soon for Symbian, iPhone and Blackberry), you'll be able to display "any web site, any web applications and any web video" just like on your PC. So how do they that?
Skyfire is using a client-server architecture. Meaning that most of the protocols, plug-ins, etc... are on the server, with a very compact client on the phone. According to Skyfire's CTO Erik Swenson, the company developed the browser from scratch in C++.

  • Thanks for the video but why didn't you show the screen? We can hear the presenters, we don't need to see them. We need to see what they're talkign about.

  • fk u india i want opera mini u dick head

  • i really like vegetarian indian food, thanks India, i will visit your country soon. I lost like 40 pounds since i started cooking vegetarian food from India.

i know i know what does food has to do with skyfire? well the CEO is from India so that reminds me of my curry recipes. :D

  • I'm having so much fun imagining all of it! Wow, look at Skyfire go! (meanwhile, here on my phone, it's still locating something?)

  • I don't know why is always this way, We don't need to see the presenter, we want to see the screen.

  • Skyfire is best mobile browser .

  • True, and still, Skyfire allows display of dynamic content much faster than Opera Mobile.

  • As mentionned, he compares Skyfire to Opera Mini... which means the he either does not understand the industry he is in and what he is competing with, or he wants to set Opera up as a straw man, easy to knock down. Sure, Skyfire will have greater funtionality than Opera Mini, but it's also designed to operate on smart phones, not feauture phones. SkyFire will have trouble besting its real competitor, Opera Mobile.

  • How many phone models does Skyfire support?

ie what phone do I need to run it?

BTW I recommended operamini to everyone in the past year I've used it and it worked on every single one of those phones as soon as it was downloaded.

  • Im not sure but ti doesn't have a flash I like skfire because you can go on any site around. IT will actually work with the videos and everything. Like i was on myspace the other day listen to my music play list as i would do on the computer. Now it's an open beta so try it out
