As an accomplished young operatic singer, Paul-André Durocher once met Queen Elizabeth as a soloist on Parliament Hill. He would soon discover that he was more passionate about singing the praises of God—first as a Catholic priest, and then as a bishop. His episcopal motto borrowed from St. Augustine of Hippo, "Canta et Ambula", describes Paul-André well: "Sing and Walk". On November 30, 2011, the bilingual prelate crosses from Ontario to Quebec as the new Archbishop of Gatineau. He is also the Vice-President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. In preparation for his new post, Archbishop Durocher speaks with Witness host Fr. Thomas Rosica about the challenges and opportunities facing Catholic education and the Church in Quebec.
