Explore the consequences of a meat diet. Are we really designed to be omnivores OR does a plant based diet suit us best?

* The third highest cause of deaths in the US is what is termed "iatrogenic", which means "induced in a patient by a physician's activity, manner, or therapy." This accounts for an estimated 225,000 deaths per annum which is about 10% of total deaths from all causes including old age. Of these, 12,000 deaths result from unnecessary surgery. The highest cause of deaths in the US is heart disease (725,000) and the 2nd highest is cancer (549,000). Both of these were almost unheard of at the beginning of the twentieth century.

* 180,000 deaths a year occur due to adverse reactions to prescription medications. By comparison, general accidents in life account for 98,000 per annum. This includes 42,000 from car accidents, 120 from airline crashes**, 90 from being struck by lightning** and 5 from Anthrax (in 2001). 15,500 die from murders and 20,000 from flu or its complications.

**averaged over 2-3 decades Causes of Death Further Breakdown
1. Tobacco 435,000
2. Poor diet and physical inactivity 400,000
3. Alcohol consumption 85,000
4. Infectious agents (e.g., influenza and pneumonia) 75,000
5. Toxic agents (e.g., pollutants and asbestos) 55,000
6. Motor vehicle accidents 43,000
7. Firearms 29,000
8. Sexual behavior 20,000
9. Illicit use of drugs 17,000

  • @samherb1 You TRULY must be mad or unable to do reasonable amounts of investigative critical thinking or even basic homework. Did you even watch this video? Do you get it at all or do you still consume fluoride - sucking on that tube of toothpaste or perhaps still enjoying your aspartame? Debunked my ass - you couldn't prove that and you know it...... you are so full of it your eyes are brown.

  • @samherb1 Since when is "fluoride" and "aspartame" considered FOOD? I would list it under "Drugs".

BTW most autopsies from heart attacks reveal that the "client" died from animal fat aka saturated fat, plugging up their arteries, not from rice or broccoli or many fruits, veggies and whole foods clogging things up.

  • @UMakeTheConnection The peoples work that I have studied that have blown up the China Study are not associated with the meat and dairy industries. They are independent health researchers. If you are interested check out Mark Sisson, Robb Wolf, and Chris Masterjohn to name a few. Cambell admits he did not go into the research for the book open minded. He set out to prove that a vegetarian diet was superior, or more specifically that eating meat leads to disease.

  • @samherb1 Take a step back and think about it. If the China Study is correct, don't you think it could mean major financial losses to the meat and dairy "INDUSTRIES". These are multi-billion dollar corporations - why would they not do everything they can to discredit the China Study. Dr. Campbell is simply sharing his findings and really has nothing to gain, unless of course you want to compare his book sales to these corporate interests.

  • @UMakeTheConnection Did you read Minger's review? It's pretty damn thorough. I don't give a damn about credentials. Doctors have 8+ years of higher education and most don't know jack shit about health. But if you need credentials there are plenty of people with credentials that have blown up the China study also. I just though Minger's was the most comprehensive.

  • @UMakeTheConnection No disagreement there......Most doctors have no idea how to help a sick person regain their health (that is their job right??). They only know how to prescribe drugs to cover up symptoms, but ultimately cause more problems. It all starts with their schooling. The whole thing is designed to have everyone hooked on prescription drugs.

  • @samherb1 Yeah okay, let's go with the 23-year-old Minger who previously listed her educational and professional qualifications on her Facebook page as writer, Catholic school teacher, summer camp instructor, and "Professional Sock Puppeteer." - We should definitely take her word (also a Weston Price supporter), over The China Study with 30 years of clinical peer reviewed studies. Get real - you've been "had" by Minger.

  • @samherb1 In the last 100 years, the diet has completely turned around. Never before in history has mankind been so obese, so sick, with every type of cancer, heart disease and of course, the third leading cause of death, is death by doctor - prescription drugs alone --- all those pills that cure NOTHING, but mask and even make the problem worse.

  • @DianeDi No thanks....I'll follow the diet that has worked well for mankind for millions of years, rather than the advise of a AMA trained doctor.

  • @DianeDi Inuit Eskimo have virtually ZERO heart disease or cancer until the 20th century when they began transitioning from a high saturated fat diet to a high carb/western diet. Pretty interesting huh?

  • @DianeDi I'm afraid it is the other way around.....The China Study has been completely debunked (google Denise Minger). Dr. Campbell is a outspoken vegetarian who made sure his "findings" said what he wanted them to. His "studies" that led to his findings are seriously flawed.

  • @samherb1
