  • and "jonelperurican".....he's got parkinsons you tit, dont be disrespectful, lets see if you get it later in life and we'll all have a laugh at you

  • MsJanne....did u see the manny vs cotto fight?? not quite.... pac man beat him up its on youtube for you

  • @MADMAC572 Cotto is a good puncher at 154, he just faced two big, tough challengers in his first two title defenses. Mayorga and Margo may not be good boxers, they are obviously past their primes and very diminished, but they are both tough and have good chins. Cotto would give Martinez a good run for his money at 160 but I agree with you, he would hardly beat him. Martinez TKO in the late rounds.

  • @MADMAC572 Like you i doubt if the fight will happen, but if you look at there stats they are both identical both 5ft 7 and 67 inch reach,so like i said it's a toss up for me. Marquez is a very hard guy to beat. Or Marquez is 7 years older than Cotto, but as he proved with his fights with Pacman he can hang with the best and only ever lost by decision, where as Cotto has been taken down the TKO route. Cotto gets discouraged when he doesn't dominate and that would be a big problem against Marquez.

  • @merryhobgoblin I agree in principal, just not in thise case. Cotto can match Marquez' speed, he's really two full weight classes bigger, and he's not hyper-aggressive; he doesn't leave himself so easily open to counters. He has more of a stalking style, vice an all out attack. Difficult to counter that if you're not faster than the guy you are fighting. So I think Cotto is just too big for Marquez. Fight won't happen anyway.

  • @MADMAC572 Like i said it's difficult to tell, what looks like a miss match in different departments,eg..size and punch power etc don't always translate in to a winning combination in the fight. When you look at there loses you see that Cotto has always lost by TKO and Marquez by decision and that in a weight range of 126-146,so it's not easy to call that one. Cotto will hit harder with a single punch, but Marquez will hit with combinations. Both great fighters and i would love to see it happen.

  • @merryhobgoblin I think the big difference between Cotto and Marquez will simply be size. Manny hyperextends when trying to reach a guy moving away. Marquez was constantly moving just out of range, Manny was throwing long punches and getting countered. Cotto won't do that. He'll walk Marquez down, throwing hard combinations when Marquez is in range. He's much stronger than Marquez. I see Marquez getting killed if thart fight happened (it won't).

  • @MADMAC572 It's very difficult to tell with Marquez,i mean Mayweather made him look bad when they fought, but then Mayweather can do that when guys try to hit him and miss all the time, and Mayweather is standing in front of you and you still can't hit the guy so i don't know. Marquez likes to catch you coming in and counter you,but then Cotto likes that to. I though Cotto looked much better in his last fight, but then again he fought a man that was easy to hit.

  • @merryhobgoblin The funny thing is I think Cotto eats Marquez alive. If they met at a weight Cotto could make (probably 147) I don't think Marquez wins a round. Styles make fights, no question about it.

  • @merryhobgoblin Cotto hit him when Manny chose to stand and trade. That also happens to be when Manny hurt Cotto, because he was planting when throwing. But Manny got cracked early. Once Manny started moving in and out, he couldn't hurt Cotto with individual blows, but he certainly was busting him up round after round and Cotto was unable to counter. I agree that Marquez is just a bad matchup for Manny. He can read Manny's intentions really well.
