I thought and have said all along what a great team Pens are. Even Pen fans are sick 'n tired (and probably embarassed) at Therriein and Crosby's whining. But that's history - on to 2009. And yes back to back cups are really tough. Check out 1997 and 1998. Perhaps you were too young to remember those Wings - who have just been reinvented only much better!!

actually he's slovakian. but i do agree, a huge slap in the face to pittsburgh, as well as baffling. not that he went to a contender, but that he signed a one-year deal.

What some of you Pen fans fail to mention, is that Hossa took a pay cut to be with the fabulous, highly skilled & talented Red Wings. Hurts doesn't it? Edmonton offered more, he couldn't wait to bail on Pens and go with a winning team. Pittsburgh won't garnish a cup for 3-5 years; no leadership!

Pens will be just as good if not better than detroit the next few years. Crosby's not even in his prime yet. Fleury is a monster goalie and malkin is still so young! Detroits full of veterans. Hossa only signed a 1 year contract with them, to be honest with you, I don't think they will repeat. But I guess it could happen, I called him a sell out because the skill level between Detroit and Pittsburgh is almost equal, Detoroits obviously a little better, but not enough to fuck the pens like that.
