Sure Dan is far more professional in interviews. He now behaves like a typical big Hollywood star, albeit perhaps a bit nicer as a person. His old diffident (do you know what the word means?) charm is all gone; he is a hardened professional money making machine now. This interview was doubtless done because the play hasn't enough customers and he needs to stir up more interest. Hence this interview. What used to be so marvelous about him was that he was NOT "polished"; instead he was genuine.

ellerviera, what are you on about? Dan is even better at interviews now, lost non of his charm and as he gets more experienced, he will be more polished unless he's a bloody idiot or Rupert Grint!!

(Love hearing about the weather in S. Africa.) Dan speaks with a very middle class Brit accent, with an obvious glottal stop in his speech. His vocabulary, as usual, seems pretty much limited to "wonderful" and "fantastic" with an occasional "incredible" thrown in for variety. He has lost his former unique diffident charm and now is a very polished professional movie star and big business actor who knows how to present his image. The real Dan of D. Copperfield has pretty much disappeared. Sad.
