GroOviEs Present :
SOMEDAY

- Someday,
Tomorrow will come.
Though I'm not afraid of today,
That's for sure.

You laughed at me,
For the last time.
You've got to understand,
It just wasn't in the plan.

To me, your life was ended,
When I said goodbye to you.

Ah ha ha, you laughed at me,
For the last time.
Now there's nothing left,
Tired of playing games.

Your mind is lost,
In a world that wasn't made for you,
Though I feel the same way, too
I still got some things to do.-

  • Moseley's verse at the end still gives me chills. Even more so now that I know the words.

  • I think the gobblin down there has heard this one song and none of the Grapes other tunes. I'm 27 years old and these guys rock! Jonas Bros. my ass, the musicianship alone is far better than that crap. Thanks to my dad for turning me on to all this wonderful music.

  • Hobbgobblin - I agree with Sandbagger. Saw them back in '69, and they were one of the all-time best bands I ever witnessed. "Cutesy"????? Get your meds checked, brother. This band has influenced more musicians than most other bands put together. And their story, incidentally, is a true, early object lesson in how the music industry eats its young.

  • @TheHobbgobblin I understand if you don't like them. But sorority girl music? You obviously haven't listened to too much Grape to come to that conclusion.

  • i'm 55, didn't like em then, don't like em now....this was silly sorority girl music....dreamy, cutsey, nice melodies.......but kinda formulaic.............would rather listen to Acoustic Alchemy do Mr. Chow.........this stuff is the Jonas Bros of the 60's.

  • these guys were one of most versatile bands to come out of the Bay area! Hard rockers/ tight harmonies on acoustic numbers / heavy blues as well...they were short-lived and under- appreciated....thx for posting thier songs....all the best ^/^

  • Essa música mostra que não precisa fazer mil notas por segundo para fazer um lindo solo como este de Jerry Miller....

  • @redsfanstu I don't think it's farfetched at all. And the Grape didn't have George Martin or Brian Epstein in their corner either! They were far and away the best band in America (and maybe an ocean beyond) for that brief moment in the middle to near-late sixties. It would be tear-inducing to read about the fates of two thirds of this band, in a novel. In real life it is just plain sad to think of what could've been and what apparently couldn't be avoided. Magnificent? Yes indeed. Take care.

  • @hugosalarm The lead guitar for Janis' band Big Brother told Jerry Miller or Peter Lewis, "You guys are better than The Beatles", that is not as far fetched as you might think, just a wonderful band of very talented musicians! Moby Grape was magificent!

  • Love this
