The 2 screws on the leftmost side of the MacBook are cosmetic-only, meaning they do not hold the case tightly. This creates a "squishy" left side, and a clicking sound when pressed

  • okay, you obviously did something to it because half the people here don't have it. I just checked it by the way I have a MacBook Pro and it doesn't click. So mabye you should take care of your computer or something.

  • It's the MacBooks, not the MacBook Pros.

  • There are 2 screws in the battery compartment that just need to be tightened. They are right next to the battery terminal.

  • i got the same thing too but i dont care just leave it

  • or any other non-mac will do as well. oh and you'll save yourself at least a thousand bucks.

  • mine has been doing thaat since day one and it pisses me off because this damn thing cost just shy of 1600$!!!! not to mention that the top case where the track pad is, is detaching from the bottom case!, and the hinge creaks when i open it sometimes and aswell the bottom case near the hinge is starting to crack! and when i push down on the left side it makes and irritating clicking noise and the side case pops out! I almost witched to an hp notebook

  • mine does this

  • Mine doesn't make a click. It makes a rubbing noise. If anything, my case is warped, making discs nearly impossible to insert in the disk drive, and to get them out, I have to pry the plastic up and tilt the laptop on it's side to get the disk out. My thumbs always hurt afterwards.

  • mine does this but not as bad as the one in this video, plus there's no clicking sound and my macbook seems to be holding together pretty well

  • THANK YOU!!

  • It happens to me too!
