Its so that as the air passes through the so called 'shark fin' to the rear wing, the flow is smoother as both parts are attached together. You may have seen in previous rear wing footage that at high speeds the parts slightly move & flex...this attached design will minimise the break in airflow at high speeds. This will help stabalise the aerodynamic airflow.

Yep definately agree...the 2010 cars look crap. The McLaren & Sauber especially look like stretched limo versions & the wheels are crap & smaller. Probably the best looking 2010 car would be the Redbulls, then either Merc GP or Ferrari. But the best looking cars were definately the 2008 cars. Hope jenson & alonso gets humilliated...Lewis or Michael for 2010 DC. Hope Rosberg is crap so that Nick Heidfield gets given nico's seat. HOpe ferrari & mclaren have a big driver bust up.
