I disagree, there are several reasons to argue about it. Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, is that the beliefs people hold can strongly impact you. For example, if we lived in Nazi Germany it would be immoral to not challenge common beliefs. Secondly, I think it's important to debate in order to establish what's truthful and moral. For example, if no one had thought it worth arguing the notion that the Earth is square, we'd still think that.
