@sqosh12 I think he's referring to the fact that every aspect of the painting has colored undertones, and that its not just straight black from the tube in spite of the fact that it looks like a canvas painted only black. its also worth noting that black paint isn't black by scientific terms (the abscence of color). black paint is usually extremely dark blue or browns. thats why you can mix lamp black with yellow and get interesting greens, and so on.

I could of swore I heard that there was no black in the original painting (0:16) but didn't the narrator just squeeze an entire tube of Mars BLACK into the container (2:31)when demonstraiting how Reinhardt made his mystical pigment? Am I missing something?

this gives a unique perspective on these paintings and how complicated it was for the artist to create them, how difficult it is to reproduce them or even see them if you don't take the time required to see them. if you do take the time, you are rewarded with a deep and profound and mysterious experience
